Crisp and tailored blazers, sharp pointy pumps, cigarette trousers: Carine Roitfeld‘s signature look is a lesson in modern minimalism. It’s no surprise, then, that the former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief’s collaboration with Uniqlo is already selling out—less than a day after it hit shelves.
The collection’s launch this morning has been slightly overshadowed by other big-name fashion partnerships—namely Balmain x H&M and the arrival of Yeezy Season 1 at Adidas—but it’s every bit as worthy of your attention. While many high-low partnerships these days are notoriously more high street and less designer, this particular lineup is seriously polished—every piece would feel right at home in Roitfeld’s wardrobe. The coats and pants are beautifully tailored, and minimalists will flip for the pared back black, gray, and brown color scheme.
The leopard-print coat that received a lot of buzz ahead of the launch has already sold out, as have some of the more affordable pieces, including the belts. Uniqlo’s online store has marked other styles as “low stock,” including the enamel black coat ($169.90) and the silk printed lace camisole ($49.90).
Remember, the collection’s only been available for a number of hours, so if there’s anything in the collaboration you want to own, you better get spending, fast. Here are a few of our top picks from the line to get you started.
