If you’re an A-lister in Hollywood, there are considerable perks—not only because you get to go to endless awards shows like the Golden Globes, but designers want you to wear their looks on the red carpet, and will probably loan you any number of fresh-off-the-runway looks to try for free. That personal assistants pick up for you to wear the night of the ceremony, natch.

But that’s not how Bryce Dallas Howard did the Globes this year. No, dear reader, the star of Jurassic World simply whisked into a department store and bought a dress herself, probably between doing other normal person behavior like dropping off your dry cleaning or buying a gallon of milk when you’re out because your boyfriend texted you to remind you you’re out.

“I just picked it up at Neiman’s this week,” she told E! News’ Giuliana Rancic about her shimmery blue 3/4 sleeve Jenny Packham dress. Her reasoning? “I like having lots of options for a size six as opposed to maybe one option, so I always go to department stores!”

The problem, of course, with straight-from-designer duds is that they only come in sample sizes (usually a 0 or 2), and the internet was quick to celebrate Howard’s realness over not being one, with New York Times fashion critic Vanessa Friedman calling it “good.” And we just hope that the next time we’re shopping at Neiman’s, we’ll bump into someone as chill as Howard.
