Britney Spears stars in Candie’s for Kohl’s ad

In a remarkably bold and obvious display of airbrushing skills, Candie’s and Kohl’s have unveiled images from their official ad campaign for the Candie’s for Kohl’s line starring none other than Britney Spears and shot by Mark Liddell in Los Angeles. Along with print, online, outdoor, and in-store formats, there will also be a TV commercial launching in time for the back to school season.

It’s kind of sad to see such a drastically altered photograph of Spears’ body, especially considering the fact that the pop star has lost a ton of weight and shaped up considerably well in the past few months. Being a mother of two children and a woman who eats real food, the body portrayed in the ad is just about as unrealistic as it gets. I’m not going to go on and on about promoting eating disorders, misleading body images, etc, etc, but seriously? Give me (and the rest of us) a break.

What do you think of this Photoshop job?

Not sure…. but what came to my mind is this: “If they can airbrush the person thin, can they airbrush the person fat. From regular pictures to ads (if nessercary)?” O_o

HAve anyone ever thought about that?
