Snub: Daphne Guinness, beer heiress and fashion icon, epitomizes the terms "international" and "best dressed," so we're shocked she didn't make the cut.

Surprise: While we've always admired Alicia Keys for her sultry voice and piano skills, we haven't really taken notice of her style -- until now.

Snub: Margherita Missoni, heiress to the iconic Italian fashion dynasty, was a beautiful bride this year -- and we were surprised not to see her among the best dressed elite.

Surprise: We at StyleCaster adore alice + olivia designer Stacey Bendet. In fact, we featured her in our 50 Most Stylish New Yorkers. We were thrilled to see that her quirky, girly and goth style was equally celebrated by others.

Snub: Beyonce's hubby Jay-Z got props from Vanity Fair, but Bey didn't. Come on, how could you not love this Givenchy at the Met Ball a few months after giving birth?!

Surprise: Matt Lauer is certainly a handsome man and can work a Hamptons look, but we were a bit shocked to see some on such a prestigious list.

Snub: Victoria and David Beckham seem like a no-brainer, but these beautiful Brits were not on the list.

Surprise: Even though Prince Harry has a vault full of bespoke suits, we think there are other English gents who deserve the honor more. Regardless, we still love him.

Snub: Designer and former princess Diane von Furstenberg has done a lot for fashion (namely inventing the wrap dress -- you're welcome, ladies). We were a little bummed not to see her on there!

Surprise: Uma Thurman's wealthy baby daddy Arki Busson certainly looks dapper in a suit, but this is the first time we've seen his name printed outside of the gossip columns.
