White eyeliner is making a decidedly non-80's comeback. Blended into the inner corner, along the waterline, or on the lid, it's a fresh, eye-brightening look that instantly makes you look more awake, and who among us couldn't use the visual likeness of a shot of espresso once in a while? These celebrities are among the first to hop aboard the white eyeliner train—follow suit and copy one or more of these cool white eyeliner looks.

This angelic look can be achieved by using a soft, shimmery white pencil to line the inner corners and the upper lid, then blending with your finger or a shadow brush to diffuse the liner.

Taylor Swift
Taylor's entire eye is lined with a pearly white shade, including her waterline—use a super-creamy pencil to avoid irritating that sensitive part of the eye.

Blake Lively
Blake is the authority on a lit-from-within glow. Use a small liner brush to blend a shimmery cream shadow into the inner corners and up onto the lid.

Jessica Alba
You can also use white liner as a "mixer" to bring bright colors down to earth.

Scarlett Johansson
When worn with a dark, dramatic eye and bright red lips, white liner adds a fresh, unexpected graphic touch that makes the rest of the look a little less dramatic.

Kourtney Kardashian
White liner on the waterline opens eyes and makes them look bigger and brighter, even when worn with the darkest eye makeup (spidery lashes not necessary).

Lauren Conrad
Another celebrity making the case for white liner as an instant wake-up call: the pearly shade perfectly offsets a thick cat eye and tons of lashes.
