Models wore long, almond-shaped nails accented with pyramid studs for Kate Spade's Fall 2013 presentation. This manicure was created using two coats of Deborah Lippmann Fade To Black ($17, lippmanncollection.com), a vinyl record black. Lead manicurist Katie Hughes created an intricate, embellished gem party nail look for Libertines Fall/Winter 2013 Collection. She used Butter London Marbs (available Summer 2013), a golden hue, and then placed crystals, which appeared on designs that walked the runway, cascading down the nail. Michelle Saunders created a chic and edgy "oil slick" using five different polish shades. To get the look, a small dot of Essie's As Gold As It Gets, Penny Talk, Go Overboard, Blue Rhapsody, and Aruba Blue (each $8, essie.com) were each applied to the nail, starting with the darkest shade. This intricate mani was created using CND Electric Orange with CND Impossibly Plush down one-third of the nail. Waves of teal (CND Blue Rapture), blue (CND Seaside Party), and brown (CND Faux Fur) were hand-painted with a detail brush over the orange side of the nail. Katie Hughes created a "texture clash" nail look with a matte black base and a glossy black French tip. Manicurists painted nails with Butter London Nail Lacquer in Union Jack Black ($15, butterlondon.com) and swiped on Matte Finish Top Coat ($19, butterlondon.com). To create this nude, sandstone-inspired nail, manicurists used a fan brush to feather CND color in Impossibly Plush from the sides toward the center.
