Some days we have an hour to get ready and get out the door. Other days, we have five minutes, and even that's pushing it. Short hair is beloved for its efficiency in styling, but for those of us with hair far below our shoulders, we have no such luck. These quick and easy hairstyles for long hair are for those days—the ones where you slept through your alarm (both of them!) or woke up on Wednesday thinking it was Saturday. We've all been there.

Kate Hudson
The quickest and easiest of quick and easy hairstyles, a messy top knot is our go-to for the laziest of hair days.

You can give the look a little more polished flair by leaving out a section of hair when you first put it up, then wrapping the section around the base of the bun (where the elastic would be) and pinning it in place.

Lily Aldridge
Get this asymmetrical look by creating a deep side part and tucking the front section of your hair behind your ear.

Mischa Barton
An off-center part and longer layers around the face make this look soft and romantic.

Twist the length of hair until it wraps in on itself, then secure with pins.

Angelina Jolie
This pulled-together look is simple and unremarkable from the front, but classic and refined in the back.

This mussed-up ponytail is perfect for second-day hair—the more texture, the better. Pull hair back into a pony at the base of the head, then spritz the crown with texturizing spray, using your fingers to push it forward and up.

Amanda Seyfried
Wavy tendrils around the face enhance Amanda's cheekbones and make the look less stuffy.

Tie the hair as you would a knot, then pin it to the back of your head where needed.

A loose side braid is one of the easiest hairstyles to execute—just be sure to use a light mist of hairspray to keep errant strands in place.

Whitney Port
For a super-simple look with a relaxed, bohemian vibe, make like Whitney and part long hair down the center before clipping back a section on either side. Add a thin headband and tease a bit at the crown for a '60s-inspired effect.

Dianna Agron
Dianna's cheekbone-grazing bangs are the perfect length for this kind of styling.

Create a low, but secure, ponytail and wrap a strand of your hair around the base to conceal the elastic. Push the hair up from the base of the pony to add volume and texture at the crown.
