"Keeping hair healthy is a big part of growing it long," says Pantene celebrity hair stylist Danilo. "You need to choose products that help to prevent breakage and protect against damage. It's also critical to maintain a healthy styling routine and use a deep conditioning treatment at least once a week."

Despite what The Brady Bunch used to tell you, 100 brush strokes a day won't give you sleek strands like Jennifer Lopez--it actually damages hair more. "Over-brushing hair leads to breakage," says Danilo. "Don't use a brush on wet hair when you step out of the shower. Once hair is washed and conditioned, use a comb with smooth, wide-set teeth to gently detangle hair, working from tip to root."

Hydrated hair is healthy hair, so to score Jennifer Hudson's long, lustrous locks, be sure to stock up on conditioner. Danilo recommends using conditioner after every wash and deep conditioning treatments at least once a week, to minimize split ends and keep hair in top condition.

A hydrating mask is long hair's best friend. "One of my favorite go-to treatments that I recommend to all my clients is the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Restore Replenishing Mask," says Danilo. "Just use it once a week to give your hair a treat and keep it moisturized, so hair grows long and strong without damage."

The less you can use your blow dryer, the better. If you absolutely have to heat style your hair, don't blow-dry your hair while it's still soaking wet. "To expedite your blow-out process and help prevent thermal damage, towel wrap your hair for 10-15 minutes to remove excess water before using a hair dryer," says Danilo.

What you put in your body is equally as important as what you put on your hair. To get luscious locks like Hailee Steinfeld, "eat a well-balanced diet of lean proteins, fruits, green leafy vegetables, whole grains, legumes, fatty fish and low-fat dairy. And of course, drink plenty of water," says Dr. Craig L. Ziering, a celebrity hair transplant surgeon.

In addition to eating foods rich in omega-3's, Danilo also recommends backing up your efforts with a nutritional supplement that focuses on hair growth stimulation. Models, celebs and stylists alike all swear by Viviscal, a six-month supplement program that features a marine protein and amino acid formula that promises to strengthen and encourage the growth of existing hair.

Just because you're growing your hair out doesn't mean you can stop getting regular haircuts. Split ends can cause your mane to look dry, frazzled and stressed. Be sure to book regular trims with your stylist to help manage breakage and keep frizz and flyaways at bay.

If you want to add a hint of volume like Taylor Swift, Danilo recommends avoiding teasing and using a root-lifting spray instead. "Excessive teasing of your hair can uplift the cuticles, making them fragile and susceptible to damage," he says.

"As you grow out your hair, you're essentially growing out your hairstyle," says Danilo. "This is the time to explore your styling options, such as slicking hair back, braids, scarves, hats, and adding fun hair accessories. It's a great time to try different styling products to achieve whatever look you are going for. Have fun playing with a variety of looks and work with your hairdresser to get the right style for you."

Long hair like Blake's doesn't come easy--it takes time and lots of patience. "I find that most women struggle with the amount of time it takes for their hair to grow as long as they want it to," says Danilo. "Women need to understand that it is going to take awhile, but I encourage them to stay patient and explore their style options in the meantime."
