Each Fashion Month, we admittedly play favorites when it comes to beauty. There’s just no match to the magic that comes from Paris’s makeup artists season after season. And while we love a great cool-girl look from Proenza Schouler in New York City and always appreciate the glamour at Milan’s Dolce & Gabbana show, the trends that are set in Paris consistently blow everything out of the water. Chanel’s chrome nails and blue aviator-shaped shadow? Balmain’s sky-high ponytail? Sonia Rykiel’s sultry metallics? Nothing compares.

For the rocker gang of girls that debuted at the Haider Ackermann SS 2016 show, netting in various colors was strewn across otherwise bare faces.

At Acne, the bold red lip was the statement of the look, with all other makeup kept to a minimum (we're talking no lashes, no shadow, nothing!).

Eye makeup was taken to new heights for the Aganovich show, with letters literally printed on the lids.

Andrew GN showed us how to do a deep side part at his SS 2016 show, with some wisps of hair even hanging stranded on the forehead.

The Balmain army certainly knows how to wear a high ponytail, and this one is pretty simple—the magic is in the sleek style (lots of hairspray!) and high arch.

Hussein Chalayan toyed with brights in unexpected places for his spring show, adding bright pink blush in a "c" shape on both sides of the face, as well as a bold red lip. Maybe don't try this at home.

Kenzo brought us the most fall-appropriate orange lip we've ever seen—yes, for their spring show. But don't you just want to wear this with jeans and a white sweater ASAP?

Guy Laroche's sideswept waves and sultry cat-eye will be replicated all over the red carpets—just you wait.

Leonard's clashing of white and black liners reads oh-so Twiggy, and we're oh-so into it.

This dash of silver metallic liner spotted at Lutz Huelle is actually quite easy to wear for a night out.

The messy double braids, slightly orange shadow, and glossy lips spotted at Pascal Millet gave such a young and fresh vibe.

Issey Miyake basically had splatter paint in various hues on model's eyes, and we're here for it.

Between the chrome nails and aviator-shaped blue shadow, Chanel did it again. Plus, you now have permission to wear pigtails—only at the nape of your neck though!

The garden princesses seen at Moncler were sans makeup (just note the brushed-up brows), but their half-up hairstyles crowned with faux flowers screamed spring.

Inspired by what designer Rahul Mishra called a "fourth dimension," the hair had little hair clipsof varying shapes pinned in to build on this textured effect.

Sonia Rykiel's sultry, blue, metallic-rimmed eyes may just be our favorite metallic statement eye yet.

Looking for goth lip inspiration? Shiatzy Chen has it in spades, making this überdark hue work on every skin tone.

Anthony Vaccarello showed how to pull off a statement lip and still rock a rimmed eye–not an easy task.

Giambattista Valli created a glitter shadow above each model's crease in colors from silver to pink for another showstopping look.

Vionnet proved that liner is not just for the waterline with this graphic statement.

We can always count on Vivienne Westwood to go all out for her Gold Label show, but this play on color was definitely the most dramatic we've seen.
