Musical Duo Karmin Share Beauty Products On The Road

NARM Music Biz Awards Dinner Party - ArrivalsTo help promote their upcoming performances, musical duo Karmin has teamed up with Tone Body Wash for their summer tour with the Jonas Brothers. The group, whose 2012 song “Brokenhearted” cracked the Billboard Top 20, is made up of Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan, who are engaged to be married.

Since Amy is known for usually sporting loud elaborate hairstyles, I was surprised to hear the singer plans on wearing her hair down and curly for the big day. When I asked her fiancé Nick if he ever wishes she would sport a simpler look, he said “From day one when I met Amy, I didn’t think anything about her would be quiet.” Now he sits back and supports whatever look she wants to wear. Great answer.

To get them ready for their future as Mr. and Mrs., we decided to play our own version of The Newlywed Game.

What’s one beauty/fashion trend you hope the other never repeats?
Anything Nick wore from 1986 until 2008.

Nick: Meat dress.

What’s one beauty product he/she always steals from you?
He always steals my body wash. Tone Ocean Therapy.

Nick: She steals my face lotion.

What does the other smell like?
Nick smells like Mont Blanc, my favorite cologne! Unless he just finished playing Frisbee, then it’s questionable.

Nick: She smells like flowers and eucalyptus sometimes.

What’s one beauty/fashion thing you’ve changed at the request of the other?
He asked me to wear heels more. Guys have a thing for that, why?

Nick: She wanted me to learn to style my hair. First time using a blowdryer, haha.

Who practices better hygiene on the road?

Nick: Amy.

Do you ever get sick of each other now that you work together?
Very much so. But it’s also a blessing to get to share these experiences with each other!

Nick: Let me think about that….yes!

What’s the moment that made you turn to the other and say “We’ve made it”?
Amy: When Ryan Seacrest posted our covers [of Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now” and Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass,” in 2011] on his site, and they got thousands of hits in 20 minutes!

Nick: I’m not sure that we’ve made it yet! But maybe when we performed on SNL!
