Angelina Jolie skipped her usual black and opted for this Atelier Versace in one of the night's hottest trends: green. The dress had sparkly beading, a gathered waist and an exposed back, so Jolie did the right thing and kept her hair and makeup simple.

Maybe Scarlett Johansson's hairstylist was really inspired by the Bride of Frankenstein, or maybe the literal interpretation of the windswept look will be very in for 2011. Either way, this updo hairstyle, combined with the actress' somewhat dowdy Elie Saab gown, was too hair-raising for us.

What better way to show off a sexy new blonde hairstyle than with a beautiful peach Calvin Klein gown and sunkissed skin. Emma Stone's Spider-Man hair color transition is a total hit.

If we had our way, a law would be passed relegating bedazzled illusion netting strictly to ice skating competitions. Combine a shiny white gown with an inexplicable icy-gray cat eye, and you're headed directly for the Worst list, Jennifer Lopez.

Dianna Agron wears one of the night's biggest trends: a form-fitting nude gown with a statement necklace, but it's her hairstyle and makeup that separate her from the pack. Her half-up, half-down romantic curls, subtly lined eyes and burgundy lips make her gorgeous face the focal point of the look, as it should be.

We know, it's shocking to see Dianna Agron's Glee co-star (and roommate!) Lea Michele on the Worst list, and especially in her award show stand-by Oscar de la Renta. Something about this Pepto pink gown just feels simultaneously "been there, done that" in terms of the silhouette and '80s bridesmaid neckline to us. Props on the turquoise jewelry, though.

This is va-va-voom done right. Sofia Vergara's coral Vera Wang hugs her curves in all the right places, and we were glad to see the Modern Family star opt for a side-part hairstlye with large, loose curls instead of her usual center part with flipped-out ends.

Christina Hendricks' form-fitting red gown is absolutely gorgeous save for the massive satin shoulder detail that's actually interfering with her hairstyle and drawing attention away from her flawless peaches and cream complexion.

Olivia Wilde paired her bronzed and tulle Marchesa ballgown with what her stylist calls "French Girl"-inspired hair. The House and Tron: Legacy star also showed off her new bangs and richer brown hair color on the Golden Globes red carpet.

This form-fitting sheer lace mermaid gown looks uncomfortably snug and appears to be on loan from the costume department of Burlesque 2: Wild West Bursleque. Christina Aguilera's hair and makeup, on the other hand, are on loan from the "Genie in a Bottle" video. Awkward.

Sandra Bullock's 2010 awards season was absolutely crazy, which is probably why the actress took a more subdued approach in an embellished Jenny Packham dress at the 2011 Globes. She did surprise everyone, however, with new blunt bangs and a darker, chocolate brown hue.

Jennifer Love Hewitt's hairstyle makes us feel like we're at our high school prom, and her dress makes us feel like we're at an oyster bar.

Anne Hathaway wore a similar Atelier Versace gown to Angelina Jolie's, but Hathaway's dusty rose dress featured paillettes, dramatic structured shoulders and another hot trend of the night, long sleeves. The actress kept her hair loose to show off the gown's daringly low back.

We admire Glee star Jayma Mays' extreme fashion deviation from her character, but there's way too much going on in this vampy flapper outfit. Her foundation is the wrong color, that hairstyle makes her face look wider and she's way too fun and cheerful to be wearing black!

In one of the refreshing pops of color on the carpet, Claire Danes, who went on to win a Golden Globe, kept it simple with a minimalistic column halter dress that emphasized her strong shoulders and back. Her ladylike updo hairstyle helped show off the dress' elegant neckline, while her flattering makeup helped show off her eyes.

Heidi Klum's silk gauze dress from Marc Jacobs' spring 2011 collection and loose, messy waves have the model slash television host looking both out of season and out of place on the red carpet. Also, we know she's got a clothing line, multiple television shows to host, modeling duties and four children, but Heidi, please, touch up those roots!

Julia Stiles' chic and curly bob was the perfect hairstyle for her one-shouldered ruched and ruffled black gown. Her magenta lips were the perfect pop of color for an otherwise subdued outfit.

The kids may have been all right at the Golden Globes, but the same could not be said of Annette Bening's hairstyle. She may have taken home the statue for Best Actress, but we sincerely hope the award came with some pomade or wax of some sort. We hate to snark, but she could look so amazing with a few simple fixes!

This hot red Versace is a vast improvement from January Jones' Emmy piata. Although the cutouts and wide-fringe skirt may be a bit too much, the actress finally managed to strike a balance where her high fashion dress didn't outshine her gorgeous Old Hollywood hair and makeup.

Helena Bonham-Carter almost gets a fashion pass at this point because it's just accepted that she's going to show up in something eccentric and oddly awesome. We basically just wanted to bring this number to your attention. The curly pompadour with a low ponytail of sorts. The satin and tulle tiered dress with two different floral prints. Sunglasses. Two different colored shoes. Never change, HBC.
