Red was the hottest hair color on fall runways like Moschino Cheap&Chic. According to Tracey Cunningham, a colorist at Redken, "People are obsessed with redheads like Isla Fisher, Emma Stone, Drew Barrymore and Lindsay Lohan [back when she was red]." Even famous blondes like Blake Lively jumped on the red bandwagon this past summer, and the hair color will be even hotter this fall.

Rodney Cutler, a hairstylist at Redken, says that glamour is totally in this autumn. "Think lots of volume and irregular sectioning and parting so the hairstyle doesn't look so contrived--very Old Hollywood and a little disheveled. If you take something from the past, it's not new. However, by sectioning your part, you make it look new." And don't forget the shine: "We saw tons of shine on the runway," Cutler says.

Mad Men may be on hiatus, but the '60s were back in full force at shows like Bottega Veneta and Prada "A 60s-inspired chignon is ideal for a special occasion--or any occasion at all," Guido, Redken's Creative Consultant, says. Don't be afraid to go big. High-volume hair is totally happening.

At Emanuel Ungaro, Guido created an ultra-sleek ponytail and accessorized it with a leather wrap. Not only do high ponytails highlight your cheekbones, this easy to do hairstyle is perfect for mornings when you oversleep!

Girlie, romantic hairstyles graced the runways at Nina Ricci and Les Copains. The half-up, half-down look frames your face beautifully and is easy to create. Gently tousle your tresses for a come-hither and laid-back vibe.

Let's hear it for the boy(s)! At Yves Saint Laurent, Guido created tomboyish hairstyles featuring a playful left sideburn. After blow-drying hair, create a straight, deep left side part. Sweep hair into a low knot, leaving the right side slightly loose to cover your ear. Finish the look by pulling a small piece of hair out to create a strong, angular sideburn at your left ear. Hairspray the style for a look that's polished to perfection.

At Prada, textured ponytails exuded "innocent sophistication," says Guido. Play around with your ponytail by leaving small sections at the forehead loose to tease for a more dramatic hairstyle.

The hair was high-gloss and lacquered at Loewe and Marc Jacobs . These updos are meant to evoke the gleaming finish of sumptuous leathers. To recreate this look, apply sculpting gel to dry hair, comb it through and then pull your hair into a ponytail or top knot. Add more gel for a an even sleeker, shiny finish.

The inspiration at Sonia Rykiel was a "very Parisian, left bank woman." Chignons were asymmetrical and backcombed to add texture, and sexy side parts completed the look.

Although ombr isn't going anywhere, a good way to phrase out your two-toning and be on-trend is to go "bronde" (read: blondish-brown). "It's a way for brunettes to have a bit of blonde in their hair, without being stripey," Tracey Cunningham of Redken says. "You can look beachy and a bit undone. Looking a little messy is our way of expressing ourselves."
