We always wonder if celebrities actually spend time on their signature fragrances, as opposed to just slapping their name on a pre-made scent. Eva Longoria seems to have also taken the extra time on her second fragrance, EVAmour by Eva Longoria, by experimenting on notes herself.

“I’m not used to something that is so layered, and the second one is pretty layered with some pink lady apple and red currant,” Longoria told WWD. “The first fragrance is a little simpler. It is like when you start drinking wine. I started with white wine and have gone into the more complex, red wine. I am taking baby steps into the more complex notes.”

To be honest, we’ve had enough of celebrity fragrances, but Eva Longoria’s reason for creating a follow-up to Eva by Eva Longoria has us intrigued. The actress admitted to creating signature fragrances because of allergies that limit the fragrances she can wear.

“It was born out of necessity,” the actress told WWD. “I wanted to create a perfume I could wear, so it grew out of some selfishness.”

Will you be rushing out to purchase Eva’s new fragrance?
