Kelly Rowland’s mother’s got the right idea. She told us, “My mom was such a product nut. Above anything, she wanted me to be happy with myself and my bare face when I looked in the mirror. And she didn’t want me to be obsessed with the makeup. I remember coming home and it was like, take the makeup off. You know what I mean? Just be you. There is nothing wrong with that.”

Mya’s mom has an amazing tip that costs almost nothing! “She says if you use coconut oil or Vaseline on your eyes overnight that you will have soft skin in the morning. I’ve done it faithfully and I don’t have bags under my eyes, my skin is baby soft. She said, ‘you don’t have to spend money on all these products. This really works.’”

Ever since then, I religiously sit under the umbrella. It’s made a big difference in my skin.”

Michelle Williams’ mom passed along some good advice to her daughter that all ladies will find useful! “My mother makes sure that if she didn’t have anything else on, she wears eyeliner. I don’t know how she would get that line so straight under her eye. Eyeliner, mascara and a gloss. That’s all you need.”

Despite Taylor Momsen having nailed the smokey eye, the beauty advice her mom taught her has nothing to do with makeup. “Be confident.  Believe in yourself and stick to your own decisions.”

Lucy Fry’s advice is less concrete. “Feeling comfortable is when you’re your most comfortable. When people are relaxed and happy, that’s when they shine.”
