Baby Bells at Burberry

Christopher Bailey does a remarkable job of reminding us that traditional Burberry comes with a dose of eccentric British glamour. Bailey called his collection “Garden Girls,” and echoed this thought in colors such as ochers, browns, and mossy greens. My heart nearly melted when I saw the dip-dye effect on the baby bell trousers that opened the show. I’m reminded of carefree gals splashing in the rain and ignoring the fact that the leg of their pants are completely soaked. Or, in realistic terms, me running home in the rain and unexpectedly stepping into a river of water on the West Side Highway. I also fell madly in love with the paperbag waist cropped trouser. I know that a paperbag waist is hard to pull off so my top purchase from this collection weighs on the baby bells. I can’t wait to get my hands on them.
