I do like fashion risks. I like it when people go out there on a limb. But what happens when your inspiration is a fifteen-year-old vision of sweaty rocker Axl Rose, hips gyrating at the microphone stand?
You keep those stringy strands out of your face with a bandana, or some rockerly form of fabric.
This is not a new trend, and maybe we have even already seen it peak (at least until it’s summer again, and then the flowing, beachy tresses will be kept under wraps with more boho scarves while delicate eyes are shaded with oversize glasses).
But with Axl’s new album Chinese Democracy FINALLY being released this week, perhaps we will see a resurgence in the headband’s popularity. Either way, we needed to pay tribute to one of the all time, hands down most influential lead singers, whether you are a headband groupie or not.
