Allison Parris’s first collection debuted yesterday appropriately enough a Greenhouse on Verick Street. The line, which is made up of classic shapes with a romantic and vintage flair, focuses on being eco-friendly as well. All of Parris’s fabrics are sustainable, organic, or repurposed.
The double-level space had models walking through a bright topiary decorated garden, and then upstairs to a dimly lit party space.
Fall 2009 was inspired by classic American country home interiors, including tapestries, vintage hardware, and repurposed materials. Hopefully the FIT grad will soon feel at home at Fashion Week too.
