All The Looks: 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2013

Phillip Lim dismissed his previously preppy collections and opted for a showing that was seemingly a tribute to all things street style, models-off-duty and all-around cool girls seen on the street.

With subtle undertones pointing to London’s original punk days, plaid, floral and checkered prints were seen in lightweight trousers and jackets. Patterns with mixed, twisted and patched to create a dynamic perspective on basics that are both wearable and sophisticated.

We especially enjoyed motorcycle jackets, constructed out of light blue enlarged English rose print. Sheer pencil skirts and leather details contributed a welcome edge to collection to both display a spot of sex appeal in a quirky and playful nature.
