Never one to stray from what she knows, Taylor Swift wore an embellished gold Dolce & Gabbana dress paired with Jimmy Choo shoos. The dress featured a cutout in the back—one of Swift's fashion trademarks at this point.

Okay, so it is the Academy of Country Music Awards, so stars are allowed to have a little fun—which is why we applaud Sheryl Crow's navy jumpsuit which shows off her fabulous figure.

Shania Twain appears to have never left the 1990s in this odd ensemble consisting of over-the-knee boots and a winged strapless mini. Even with all that, her massive hair is the standout of the night.

Faith Hill took the red carpet in a Chado Ralph Rucci dress and Christian Dior shoes—but her most notable accessory from the Grammys—her braces—were missing.

Carrie Underwood looked elegant in a printed Naeem Khan dress, but the strapless look paired with the same hair she always has was relatively boring.

Oh, how we love maternity style. Hilary Scott, of world famous band Lady Antebellum, showed off her pregnant body in a dress by A Pea in the Pod. In the era of Kim Kardashian, it's hard to forget that some pregnant women don't wear Lanvin.

Kaley Cuoco looked relatively chic in a slightly boring BCBG dress, but we loved her dramatic updo.

The 1990s continue to take over, with singer Jewel clad in a peach Georges Chakra Couture that looked a little too "bridesmaid gone embellished" for our tastes. Still, the singer—whose greatest hits album is out now—looked great.

The show's co-host, and a multiple award winner, Miranda Lambert wore an underwhelming black dress—but stole the show thanks to cute PDA with her hubby Blake Shelton.

Last night’s Academy of Country Music Awards red carpet didn’t bring out many of the A-listers we were hoping for (why wasn’t Nicole Kidman there supporting hubby Keith Urban?!), but there was still plenty of star power, as well as plenty of outfits that certainly need to be discussed.

For example, Shania Twain, who made a rare red carpet appearance wearing an skimpy ensemble and a pair of serious over-the-knee boots. Other 1990s staples were out in full force as well, like Jewel and Sheryl Crow, the latter of which turned up in a seriously sexy jumpsuit (at 51 years old, mind you.)

As usual, the typical country-pop starlets—a la Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood—looked completely fine, offering no surprises whatsoever. Is it just us or are you desperately wishing these ladies will shake things up a bit at the next big awards show? Here’s hoping.
