Chambray shirts are the definition of lightweight and relaxed (read: perfect for absolutely any wardrobe and body type). This layering staple is key as we hop from our hot morning commute to an overly chilled, air-conditioned office.
We knew we were onto something seeing designers like Alexander Wang and even retailers like Free People putting their own spins and washes on the classic style. We especially love how Ralph Lauren updated a button-down with paint splatters. Varying from acid-washed to over-dyed, the shades of these shirts certainly have range. Button detailing and thread trimmings give modern (and sometimes tribal) twists to the look.

Nice! I love my chambray shirt from Madewell. I always wear it with summer dresses for an interesting juxtaposition.
I love these shirts! I bought one from American Eagle but have seen beautiful ones from J crew and Madewell. This has definitely become a staple on my campus. Most of my friends own a chambray shirt. Have you also noticed the shiny and sparkly fabric trend? I love it when it is not overdone. I wrote an article about this fall trend.
